Depending on the design, that may include cowhide, sheepskin or lambskin, goatskin, suede, shearling, hair-on hide or another stated finish. Because specifications can differ by jacket, always read the material description for the exact style you are considering.

There is no single best leather for every wearer. Cowhide is often chosen for structure and durability; sheepskin or lambskin for a softer, lighter hand; goatskin for strength with flexibility; suede for a matte, tactile finish; and shearling for insulation. The right choice depends on climate, weight preference, styling and how frequently the jacket will be worn.

The overall design, color direction and construction should match the listing, but genuine leather is a natural material. Grain, creasing, pores, shade and distressed character can vary slightly from one hide to another. Screen settings and lighting can also affect how color appears. These normal variations are part of the material rather than automatic signs of a defect.

Suede has a raised nap. Brushing that nap in different directions changes how it reflects light, creating temporary light and dark areas. This is a normal feature of suede and nubuck, not discoloration. A suitable suede brush can help realign the nap after wear.

No. Natural hair direction, markings and pattern placement vary from hide to hide. Product images show the design and general visual character, but they cannot guarantee an identical pattern on every finished piece.

No. In professional leather-jacket production, handcrafted means skilled people control important stages such as hide selection, pattern placement, cutting, assembly, finishing and inspection. Industrial sewing machines and specialist tools are used where they provide the strength and consistency the garment requires.

No. A lightweight fashion jacket, a structured biker silhouette, a distressed coat and a shearling winter jacket need different leather weights, linings, seam treatments and hardware. Product-specific specifications are selected to suit the design and intended use.

Not unless the product page expressly identifies a jacket as certified protective equipment and names the relevant standard. A biker-inspired design may be intended as fashion outerwear and should not be assumed to include impact protection, abrasion certification or protective armor.

Body measurements are the starting point for our general size guide. A well-fitting jacket can also provide a useful comparison if the product page gives garment measurements. Do not compare a body measurement directly with a garment measurement without allowing for wearing ease and any layers planned underneath.

Consider the intended fit and what you will wear underneath. If you prefer more room, have a broader midsection or plan to layer over knitwear, the larger size is usually the safer option. For a close fit, contact us with the product name and your chest or bust measurement before ordering.

No. Bomber, biker, aviator, trucker, blazer and long-coat silhouettes can have different shoulder shapes, body lengths and intended ease. Always check the exact product description and size chart rather than ordering solely by the size printed on another jacket.

Custom sizing may be possible when the design and production requirements allow it. Contact us before ordering with the product link and your required measurements. We will confirm feasibility, any price difference and the estimated production time before work begins.

Depending on the design, possible changes may include body or sleeve length, selected measurements, color, leather type, lining or hardware. Not every alteration is technically suitable for every pattern, so a request is not confirmed until Dark Raven Hide agrees to the specification in writing.

Eligibility depends on the custom terms agreed before production, so ask for written confirmation before approving a personalized order. If an item arrives incorrect, damaged or with a confirmed defect, contact us promptly so the case can be reviewed under the applicable policy and consumer protections.

Standard order processing is approximately 5–7 business days. If a product or approved custom request needs a different production time, that estimate should be shown or confirmed separately.

Yes. Free standard worldwide shipping is offered on every order with no minimum purchase, subject to destination restrictions and service availability. Express shipping may appear at checkout for selected destinations.

After the approximately 5–7-business-day processing period, standard transit is usually another 5–7 business days. The typical total estimate is therefore about 10–14 business days, but customs, weather, peak-season volume, remote destinations and carrier delays can affect delivery.

The selected service may include DHL, UPS, FedEx, an international postal service or a regional delivery partner. Carrier choice depends on destination, parcel requirements and available service.

Yes. Tracking is sent after dispatch. A newly issued tracking number can take 24–48 hours to show its first carrier update. If it still shows no movement after more than seven business days, contact us with your order number.

Unless checkout expressly states that duties are included, import taxes, tariffs, customs charges and local clearance fees are the customer’s responsibility. These charges are set by the destination authority and are not the same as the shipping fee.

Contact us as soon as possible. A change or cancellation is not guaranteed once processing, material preparation, customization or shipping has begun. Quick contact gives us the best chance of helping before the order reaches an irreversible stage.

An address correction may be possible only before dispatch and cannot be guaranteed. Send the complete corrected address immediately. Once a parcel is with the carrier, any rerouting options are controlled by that carrier and may involve restrictions or charges.

Check safe places, household members, neighbors, reception or building management first, then allow up to 48 hours because some carrier scans appear before final handover. If the parcel is still missing, notify us within seven days of the delivery scan. Full current terms are available in our shipping and delivery policy.

An eligible return must be requested within 15 calendar days of delivery. After approval, the item must be shipped back within seven calendar days using the instructions provided by our team.

The item must be unworn, unused, unwashed and unaltered, with its tags attached and its included components present. A careful indoor try-on is acceptable. Products showing wear, fragrance, treatment, damage, repair or missing tags may not qualify.

Contact Dark Raven Hide with your order number, the item you want to return and the reason for the request. Wait for approval and return instructions before shipping. Do not send a parcel to an address found elsewhere, because the correct return location is supplied with the approved case.

For a wrong size or change of mind, the customer pays the return shipping cost. If Dark Raven Hide sent the wrong item, or the product arrived damaged or has a confirmed defect, we cover reasonable return shipping under the approved instructions.

Yes, an eligible item may be exchanged if the requested size is available. Contact us within the return window before sending anything back. For a customer-selected size change, return shipping is normally the customer’s responsibility.

Discounted items follow the standard return policy unless they are clearly marked Final Sale. Gift cards and Final Sale items are not returnable for change of mind.

Photograph the outer packaging, shipping label and item, then contact us as soon as possible—preferably within 48 hours for transit damage. Keep the packaging until the case is resolved. Natural grain, shade or hair-pattern variation is not automatically a manufacturing defect.

Returned items are normally inspected within three business days of receipt. If approved, the refund is generally submitted within three business days after inspection. Your bank or payment provider may then need approximately 5–10 additional business days to post the funds. Read the complete return and refund policy before sending an item.

Start by checking the care label and identifying the finish. Remove loose dust with a clean, soft cloth, then spot-test any suitable product on a hidden area. Avoid soaking the leather, harsh household cleaners and aggressive rubbing. Complex stains or full cleaning are best handled by a leather-care specialist.

Do not machine-wash or tumble-dry a leather jacket unless its care label explicitly says that method is safe. Immersion, detergent, heat and tumbling can shrink leather, remove oils, alter dye and distort the garment.

Condition by need rather than a rigid calendar. If compatible smooth leather begins to feel dry or less supple, use a small amount of an appropriate conditioner after a hidden-area test. Suede and nubuck generally require finish-specific products rather than standard smooth-leather conditioner.

Blot excess moisture without rubbing, reshape the jacket and let it air-dry naturally at room temperature. Keep it away from radiators, hair dryers, direct heat and strong sunlight. Once fully dry, assess whether the specific leather finish needs gentle conditioning.
